2019 - 2020
2019 - 2020 is set to be a key year for SOHK, having reached our highest league position to date!
We have been working hard at diversifying our streams of income over the past 18 months, which is something we will continue to do going forward so that our frontline work is sustained and developed. To this end, we have recently welcomed onto the team a Marketing Executive and a Partnerships Executive, who are focussing on developing our individual giving and corporate relationships. Throughout 2019, Millharbour Marketing helped us to fundamentally revamp our partnership strategy which is now ready to implement and put to great use throughout 2020 and beyond.
Our frontline colleagues, who bring a huge range of understanding, expertise, and experience to their roles, are constantly reflecting on the service that we deliver. In response to the changing needs of the beneficiaries that we exist to serve, the adult programmes are consciously taking a more holistic approach. The sheer physical and emotional challenge that typifies School of Hard Knocks will always be front and centre, but we will also continue to introduce other activities such as yoga, nutrition/cooking and much more.
In January 2020 a PhD student will join us in partnership with the University of Greenwich. They will collect and analyse data across all of our programmes, allowing us to demonstrate how impactful our approach is.
